I feel that Colorado is, by far, the most beautiful of the Rocky Mountain states. Though, I am just a little biased! That is because I am a born and raised native of Colorado. I take great pride in my home state. Growing up here you get used to seeing some of the most amazing views. On an average day in Colorado, you can look out your window and more than likely be able to see one of our beautiful mountains. The weather here really is moderate and lends itself to some of the best outdoor activities in the world. From paddleboarding, stream fishing, and amazing hiking to some of the most epic ski and snowboard slopes, Colorado has a lot to offer.
Colorado got it's statehood in 1876, four weeks after the United States centennial celebration, when U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant signed the proclamation admitting it into the Union as the 38th state. This is why it is often referred to as the “Centennial State”.
